The train ride then took us through a bunch of shrubs, saw about 4 cranes. Other then birds you will not see any wildlife. The boat ride was way too long and pretty boring. Then when you finally get to the falls they say you will be able to walk to the bottom of the falls. YOU CAN'T. You can only walk to a viewing area about halfway down pretty far away. Also, we had a few people that had a hard time getting back from the hike. So we informed the captain, and asked him if they do a head count. He told us they don't do a head count because they were never accurate.. ummmm you're let off the boat in the middle of the woods.. in my book, find a dif area to view the falls from n save your money!!

This is a must do trip in the Upper Peninsula. Everything was done very nice. The train ride was pleasant going through the woods. The boat ride was great and the captain gave a wonderful narrative about all the trees, birds, insects and anything along the way. We even passed the oldest state trooper in Michigan on the river at the ripe age of 106. We thoroughly enjoyed the captains information. Make sure to wear good walking shoes for the hike to the falls. Food on boat was reasonable and well prepared. Everyone who worked for the company was great. Would do it again.

It was absolutely worth every penny. The owners were first class, the trolley ride was very interesting, (we did see eagles and a BEAR!). The ferry was comfortable, excellent food, and the Captain was a well of knowledge. I think we will absolutely go again. If you love nature, this trip is for you.

It was fun, great way to spend a day and see the falls and a bunch on UP wilderness. The Captain of the boat had a lot of interesting points on the river to show. Yes, you should pack food and drink. The boat has a galley that's limited and expensive.

I wouldn't recommend spending your money on this trip.. First I witnessed 4 people crack their heads on the top of the train climbing in (might wanna post a sign about the height).

This was a lot of fun! Very informative tour, and a nice drive to get there. Not far from the Tahquamenon Falls nature preserve. Halfway through, there was a break with an adorable little campground with restrooms, amenities, concessions, and free bubbles for kids in a play area. Would definitely recommend!
